When natural pollen begins to flow, the presence of the Bee-Pro® Patty will stimulate the gathering of pollen during the day. At night, the bees will continue to feed on the Bee-Pro® Patty.
Your bees can begin to generate brood weeks (or even months) prior to natural pollen flows using Bee-Pro® Patties. One of the great advantages of internal hive feeding is that you are not dependent on weather conditions for foragers to bring nutrients into the hive! Brood rearing can take place through weeks of rain! |

Bee-Pro® 4% PRO-LEN Patties
Introducing Mann Lake BEE-PRO® 4% PRO-LEN patties. The PRO-LEN patties are made with Bee-Pro® which is a trusted and widely used pollen substitute that gives your bees all the essential amino acids, vitamins and proteins that a colony needs to stay healthy and productive. PRO-LEN is a plant based organic matter that is used as a phagostimulant. A phagostimulant can be used in a patty so that the colony consumes the patty at a faster rate. Consuming the patties at a faster rate can be critical, especially for fall feeding. In the past, natural pollen was added to patties as a stimulant for consumption. This product gives our customers a simple and economical way to build up bee populations and provide a solid foundation for a healthy colony without the problems inherent with using natural pollen from questionable sources which can contain pesticides and other undesirable contaminants. |
